Howard Keel travelled from Los Angeles to Manchester and gave his last concert in the Lowry Centre to benefit the Riley Archive.

A Champagne reception was held in the galleries and the people moved amongst the galleries to enjoy the reception.

The concert was given in the beautiful Quays theatre and the Atmosphere was intimate and warm.  Harold is the founder patron of the arts centre.

Supper was served in the compass room above the theatres where the guests had a view of the Historic Manchester Ship canal at night.

At the supper Ashraf Riley presented Judy Keel with an 18 century ceramic.

Harold gave his old friend a silver Dunhill Lighter from the series of great golf courses of the world.  The great film star was enormously moved by the presentation

Harold presented his old friend, Robert Powell the Salford actor, with a small painting of a bridge the actor passed on his way to school.
